Cloudshape is experiencing rapid growth within our IT & Engineering Portfolio. We are currently seeking a talented Citrix Engineer to join our growing team. This person will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of the organization’s virtual application and desktop infrastructure. This role supports enterprise environments utilizing Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and requires a strong understanding of systems architecture, performance tuning, and end-user experience. The position exercises independent judgment in evaluating system performance, implementing solutions, and supporting business-critical applications.
To be considered for this position, US Citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance is required. This is a funded position and is contingent upon verification of a security clearance prior to starting with Cloudshape.Job Responsibilities: - Design, deploy, and maintain Citrix virtual desktop and application environments
- Administer and optimize Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops infrastructure, including delivery controllers, storefront, and workspace environments
- Analyze system performance and implement enhancements to improve availability, scalability, and user experience
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell or similar) to streamline administration and deployments
- Collaborate with network, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and performance
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex system issues and outages, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions
- Participate in capacity planning, system upgrades, and patch management strategies
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and configurations to support business needs
- Maintain system documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–6+ years of experience in Citrix administration or engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments and Active Directory
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware or Hyper-V)
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and make informed technical decisions
Preferred Qualifications: - Citrix certifications (e.g., CCA-V, CCP-V)
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Familiarity with profile management tools and endpoint management solutions
- Knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, firewalls)
